Overview of the talk

In this presentation, Dr Jane Waite gave an overview of research into challenging behaviour in people with fragile-X syndrome. She described how behaviours can develop when children have limited communication skills, and how these behaviours can be shaped overtime by the consequences that follow immediately after behaviour is shown. Other factors that can impact the development of behaviours were discussed, including pain and difficulty with regulating behaviour. The link to the presentation can be found here.
