Mood and Interest in Lowe Syndrome
Research has compared people with Lowe Syndrome to four other groups of people with rare neurodevelopmental disorders. It was found that people with Lowe Syndrome had significantly higher interest and pleasure. Participants with Lowe Syndrome demonstrated excessive levels of mood, interest and pleasure with positive affect.

Individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) characteristics often experience anxiety. While there is no research specifically on anxiety prevalence in Lowe syndrome, the high prevalence of ASD characteristics in individuals with Lowe syndrome means that anxiety could be a problem. More research is needed to confirm this.
